Scientific studies have repeatedly shown that by simply viewing or engaging in the process of art making, your physiology can change dramatically from stress to deep relaxation; in other words from fear to love and peace. Art can alter brain wave patterns, slow the heartbeat and breath, lower blood pressure, and increase blood flow to digestion.
When you perceive an image as peaceful or healthful, especially when it elicits spiritual connection, your brain, specifically the hypothalamus, signals your autonomic nervous system which regulates balance within your body and sometimes instantaneously your overall well-being is enhanced.
Art can also immediately create a lasting psychological impact in your life as it helps to change your perceptions of your experiences offering a more optimistic spin. Art has been shown to elicit a sense of hope and positivity and increase the ability to cope with everyday stressors. Endorphins are often increased which help to create a feeling of expansion, connection, relaxation, and pain relief.
Scientist Sir Isaac Newton discovered that when pure white light passes through a prism it separates into and creates all visible colors. According to additional research from the 1600′s, each color is made up of a single wavelength. When those single colors are combined they form additional colors with their own frequencies. In the 1800′s Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe and Dr. S. Pancoast studied color as medicine, finding that color alone had a direct impact on both emotional and physical well-being. In the 1900′s, Dinshah P. Ghadiali and other researchers took much of the early research further by demonstrating why and how colors had various therapeutic effects on the human body.
Color is an inherently powerful healing tool that can be used to influence mood and cause positive psychological transformation. Color frequencies alone can create physiological change by altering physical processes like activating hormones which cause chemical reactions throughout the body, increase metabolism, change blood pressure, or create a vibration within the body that alters dis-ease which also has a vibration of its own.
When color is combined with other elements of design like line, shape, form and texture amazing healing can occur. The other elements help to direct the frequencies to finely tune the healing qualities into exactly what you need.
Neurophysiologists have long proposed that art, prayer, and healing all come from the same source within the body…the heart which is forever based in the soul. All are associated through similar Divine connection, feeling and meaning and elicit similar physiological responses within the body.
Art, prayer, and healing all lead us gently into our inner world which is the world of imagery, vision and emotion. All of my curative art contains intense symbolic meaning through the use of angelic codes. The codes themselves offer a very high frequency, one in which the body and mind attempt to match.
Healing art often contains many layers that are hidden in the work. This seems to evoke a subconscious curiosity which draws you further inward, resonating at even higher vibrations than previously expected. Incredible healing can occur by immersing yourself into this energy for as few as five minutes a day.
